Cupcakes with my new stand!!
Happy Friday!
Today's post is about a late night craving that occurred to me yesterday, and my super cute cupcake stand was staring at me, waiting to be filled with deliciousness.
So: of course I made a batch of cupcakes!
Chocolate chip cupcakes in fact.
The recipe I use for any sort of cake/cupcakes is always the same and it's the one my grandma taught me when I was younger.. We always call it the 1234 recipe:
Today's post is about a late night craving that occurred to me yesterday, and my super cute cupcake stand was staring at me, waiting to be filled with deliciousness.
So: of course I made a batch of cupcakes!
Chocolate chip cupcakes in fact.
The recipe I use for any sort of cake/cupcakes is always the same and it's the one my grandma taught me when I was younger.. We always call it the 1234 recipe:
- 1 cup of milk or any liquid
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of flour (and 3 teaspoons baking soda)
- 4 eggs (with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- 1/4 cup oil
Beat eggs until frothy and a bit foamy, and add in vanilla extract
Add in sugar slowly, and beat constantly until eggs, vanilla extract, and sugar are well combined and creamy
Add in milk or other liquid and oil
Add in flour and baking soda, and mix everything until it reaches batter consistency
Place into an oven that has been preheated at 350 F.
Bake for around 30 minutes, or until you stick a toothpick in the center of the cake and when you remove it there is no batter residue on the toothpick
Bon Appetit!
